Volunteers are needed to distribute information sheets!

Help Spread The Word!

We need women to get the word out!

  • One in three women in the United States have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner!

  • On a typical day, domestic violence hotlines receive 21,000 calls; approximately 15 calls a minute.

  • Sanilac County HAS a women's shelter (Eva's Place) where women can get help; support groups, information , and caring safe environment.

  • Domestic violence can include physical violence, sexual violence, threats, and emotional abuse!

The SAVE Council & EVA's Place shelter want/need to get the word out about services that the shelter and our SAVE Council have to offer.  One way to do this is to provide the confidential phone line number for the Eva's Place shelter to any woman who may need help.

Our goal is to place an information sheet with tear-off tabs on the door in every single public restroom in Sanilac County where a woman might go.  Currently, we need assistance in Port Sanilac, Sandusky, Marlette, Brown City, Croswell, Minden City, Carsonville, and Lexington.

Volunteers are needed to choose a town, village, crossroads, etc and agree to place the fact sheets and then follow up at regular intervals to see if new fact sheets are needed.  All materials are provided to you in a packet with an easy log sheet for you to track your progress.  Locations could include; hospital, clinics, restaurants, bars, laundromats, libraries, beauty shops, retail stores, etc.

  • Call your friends, relatives and groupies

  • Make a plan to canvas your home town or work location

  • Get out and distribute information

  • Track your progress

  • Help us make this happen;share this with your friends!

Please call Eva's Place at 810-672-9469 and we will be glad to get your team started.
